I would want to be a silversmith they melted silver and turned it into useful things like cups, spoons and plates and use it with  hammers and tongs. The tools  must be in top shape. Otherwise they could scratch or chip costly silver. Extra parts were cast into sand molds. The silversmith used solder like cement to attach them. It took years of practice to do the job well.
